Fatal Vision Glasses Shared With Health Classes

School Resource Officer, Christy Clark, spent time with High School health classes at Ste. Genevieve High School discussing information on the rise of Prescription Pills, Heroine, Marijuana and Alcohol abuse in our community. The discussion included describing various types of prescription pills and how easily they can be addictive, various forms of heroine and how they may be cut with additional poisons, and the fact that Missouri is not a state that has legalized the use of marijuana.  Officer Clark allowed students to try on “Fatal Vision Googles”, which depict various stages of blood alcohol content and marijuana usage.  Students were asked to walk, throw a ball, and do things to see how their vision was impaired.  The students found the discussion very informative.
