Educational Research Award Presented to Mr. Craft

Mr. Brian Craft, history teacher at Ste. Genevieve R-II High School, is the recipient of the 2017 Educational Research Award from the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve. The Foundation offers this grant annually to individuals completing research that advances the mission of the Foundation. Ms. Sara Menard, Foundation President, recognized Brian for his master’s thesis,¬†Historic Ste.¬†Genevieve: A History of Heritage Tourism Development in Missouri’s Oldest Town 1885-2016.¬†Brian completed the work to obtain a Master of Arts in History degree at Southeast Missouri State University. A bound copy of the work will soon be available in the Foundation’s Mecker Research Library as well as at the Ste. Genevieve R.W. Thomas Library.
