Senior Julia McKlin Named November Elks Student of the Month

Congratulations to senior Julia McKlin, the Elks Student of the Month for November from Ste. Genevieve High School! Julia is the daughter of Mark and Athena McKlin.

Julia's Scholastic Honors include: Being ranked #3 of her graduating senior class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, earning Top 10% every year in high school, and winning numerous class awards including Integrated Science, Fundamentals of Art, Geometry, Computer Applications, and Sculpture. Julia has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations including National Honor Society where she is currently the vice president, Math team, Spanish club, National Art Honor Society, Spirit Club, and Future Teachers of America. 

Julia is a member of the SGHS volleyball and track teams. During her time on the volleyball team, she has developed into a team leader and has been selected to the All-Conference and All-District team. While a member of the SGHS track team, she has also won the most improved and outstanding relay runner awards. Julia was also chosen to attend the Leadership in Practice Seminar at Westminster and the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership camp at SEMO. Julia is a tremendous leader in and out of the classroom. 

In her free time, Julia enjoys art, playing sports, and spending time with family. She plans to attend Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Education.
