A member of the Ste. Genevieve High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America was recently elected to serve in a regional leadership position in an officer screening held Wednesday at Zalma High School.
Drew Newman was selected to serve as the Region 6 historian and will serve on the Region 6 executive council for the 2019-20 school year.
Region 6, one of 14 FCCLA regions in Missouri, includes Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, Perry, Scott, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties.
Newman will formally take office in March at a regional installation banquet and will serve on the Region 6 Executive Council for the 2019-20 school year.
Emily Abt represented Ste. Genevieve High School as an officer for the region in the 2018-19 year. Attending as voting delegate, from the SGHS Chapter, was Lana Kemper.
