PRESCHOOL PROGRAM INFORMATION

Both Bloomsdale Elementary and Ste. Genevieve Elementary launched a preschool classroom in 2015, with a mission of promoting high-quality early care and education programs for our children. Our preschool classrooms serve students with a certified Early Childhood Preschool Lead Teacher and a Preschool Teacher Assistant.

Both preschool classrooms offer a full-day program that operates Monday through Friday. An afternoon snack while in attendance are included in the fee; breakfast and lunch are not included, but may be purchased through the school meal program. Participation in Dragons Den, the schools’ After Care program, is not included in the fee but is available at an additional cost. Please see the current rates and hours of operation for the 2023-2024 school year below.

Both preschools offer a Part-Time option for families, where students will be able to attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday OR Tuesday and Thursday.

How to Apply

Applications are available throughout the school year at both elementary offices. Applications are also available online here:

Please complete the application for the school boundary where you live. Parents must fill out an application for each child. Filling out an application does not guarantee your child’s position in preschool. Though we encourage families to submit applications for the year their child is 3 years of age, priority is given to children one year from kindergarten.

Age of Attendance

Children ages 3 to 5 years old are eligible to attend, but must be 3 years old prior to Aug. 1. Priority will be given to families whose students are one year from attending kindergarten. Those eligible to attend kindergarten are not eligible to attend preschool. Children in attendance must be potty-trained.
