SGHS Students Recognized Through Voice of Democracy Contest

Congratulations to three Ste. Genevieve High School students for being recognized through the VFW Post 2210’s annual Voice of Democracy Contest. The theme of this year’s oral essay was “What Makes America Great?”

Junior Addie Taylor won first place, earning $200 from the VFW Auxiliary and advancing to the district round of judging. Addie is the daughter of Paul and Dana Taylor. In second place was senior Katie Chapman, who earned $150. Katie is the daughter of Linda and Scott Chapman. Taking third place was junior Katie Filer, who earned $100 from the VFW Auxiliary. Katie is the daughter of Dan and Peggy Filer.
