Sydney Bumgardaner is the Elks Student of the Month for September from Ste. Genevieve High School! Sydney is the daughter of Tara and Chris Bumgardaner.
Sydney's scholastic honors include: being ranked #1 of her graduating senior class; earning A Honor Roll each semester; being in the Top 10% of her class every year in high school; and winning numerous class awards including Geometry, CP English II, CP American History, Pre-Calculus, Organic Chemistry, French III, and Government. Sydney has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations including Math team, Student Council, French club, and Speech & Debate.
Sydney is a member of the SGHS basketball team. During her time on the team, she developed into a team leader and has been selected to the All-Conference and All-District team. Sydney was also selected as a member of the Academic All-State team and KTJJ Dream Team. Sydney is a tremendous leader in and out of the classroom.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys spending time watching basketball, playing guitar, and playing ping-pong. Sydney plans to attend Oglethorpe University and play basketball. She plans to pursue a bachelor degree in Mathematics and then earn her doctorate in Theoretical Mathematics.
