Dr. Oldham Collaborates in Distance Learning Modules for Educators

Not only has Dr. Oldham been recognized as the 2020 Missouri History Teacher of the year, but he was also selected as one of the top 10 finalists for the national award! We would like to congratulate him on this well-deserved achievement. We would also like to share that during the past few months, Dr. Oldham collaborated virtually with fellow Missouri teachers to create video distance learning modules for returning to school this fall. More than 40 Missouri teachers who have been recognized as regional, finalist or state teachers of the year surveyed their colleagues around the state and crafted this online series of modules focused on distance learning strategies and meeting the needs of students in hybrid learning approaches.

  • See this link (Middle School Tips and Suggestions) for the video podcast that Dr. Oldham created with three other middle school teachers from around the state. Dr. Oldham shared that one of the main focuses of the discussion was relationship-building; teachers are relationship-builders, and many are now striving to learn the best ways to build connections with students through a hybrid learning environment.
