Congratulations to the following speech and debate students for their fantastic performances at their recent meets and invitationals this season!

At the MESA debate meet on Monday, Nov. 16, seniors Katelyn Fuller and Addie Taylor won both of their rounds, making them undefeated in the tournament!

At the Jackson November "Turkey Trot" Invitational held on Nov. 19 - 20, senior Vela Lightle won 1st place in Prose Reading, 2nd in Original Oratory and 5th in Extemporaneous Speaking! Senior Shaun Uzzell won 5th in Humorous Interpretation and 6th in Storytelling!

At the Ladue Novice Invitational on Nov. 20 - 21, sophomore Jamison Kemper advanced to the semifinal rounds in both Humorous Interpretation and Storytelling, and senior Flynn Tucker advanced to the semifinal rounds in both Storytelling and Prose Reading!

Everyone who competed had to submit a video of their performance, and debates are held virtually via online conference calls. What amazing performances and adaptation to a completely new way of doing things!
