Every student needs a note for every absence. Academic penalties will be assigned at the end of the semester for unexcused (UX), unknown (UK), and excessive excused absences. These penalties are usually avoidable. Use PowerSchool to check your student’s attendance history, and make sure all absence dates have been covered with a note from home. If your student has eight or more absences—even if excused—please contact Mrs. Huffman about attendance make-up sessions, also known as “buybacks.”
