Ste. Genevieve R-II Hosts Chamber Leadership Meeting, Showcases Programming

The Ste. Genevieve R-II School District hosted the Chamber Leadership Meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. After a meal in the Performing Arts Center catered by the district's Food Services, the group took a tour of the high school, visiting classes involving hands-on instruction. These included Supervised Business Experience (SBE), Dragon Lair Productions (DLP Crew), Industrial Technology, Landscaping, CAD/Design, Readers’ Theater, Automotive Technology, DragonFLEX and the R.W. Thomas Library.

“We were so pleased to offer a tour of our facilities and showcase the wide array of career technical programming and hands-on classes we offer at Ste. Genevieve High School,” Superintendent Julie Flieg says. “As business leaders in the community, the Chamber Leadership members understand and promote the importance of integrating and building upon these skills while in high school so that our students can leave our halls with a better chance of success in whichever fields they choose.”
