The Communications Department is responsible for districtwide communications (both internal & external), public relations and marketing, media relations and publicity, crisis and strategic communications, community relations, brand consistency, community relations and social media coordination.

A print newsletter mailed to all district residents and businesses approximately 4 times each school year. The Digest is used to inform community members about initiatives and activities important to the district. See the archive of the Dragons Digest here.
SG R-II Family Connection
An e-newsletter sent to parents and guardians bimonthly and to faculty and staff monthly via email. It features a “5 Things You Need to Know” section that covers a variety of topics, including new initiatives, program updates, upcoming events and district and Board of Education decisions, as well as professional development opportunities and benefits information. The district’s communications system that allows the district to send voicemail messages, emails, text messages and push notifications to families, faculty and staff. Communications include important information such as upcoming events, early release days, important district updates, athletic updates, cancellations, updates in the event of an emergency or closing school due to inclement weather.
Available to download on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play for Android, the Ste. Genevieve R-II Mobile App offers a wide variety of information for parents and students all in one place for smart devices. School officials can send out push notifications through the app in the event of bad weather, school closings and other district and school announcements. The app also allows users to follow school news feeds and calendars, as well as peruse lunch menus, staff directories and more!
