Congratulations to Ste. Genevieve High School sophomore Adalynn Taylor, the daughter of Paul and Dana Taylor, who was chosen to take part in the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program from June 7 - 9 at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. The seminar is designed to help high school sophomores recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. Adalynn was selected based on her leadership, academics and character. The GFWC Woman’s Club of Ste. Genevieve (a chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs), sponsors local student participation in the program.

Addie has earned A Honor Roll both semesters of the last two years and has stayed in the Top 10 Percent of her class. This past year, she and her debate partner, Katelyn Fuller, placed 1st in Policy Debate in the Bob Bilyeu Springfield Speech and Debate Tournament. The two also placed first at Districts and made it to the State level. Addie is involved in Student Council, Speech and Debate, Math Team and Mentors.
