Bloomsdale 4th Graders’ World Wildlife Foundation Adoption

Mrs. Bell’s 4th grade Science classes have been studying endangered animals. Several of the students thought that a great way to raise awareness of endangered animals would be to raise money and symbolically adopt an animal from the World Wildlife Foundation. In just over two weeks, the students raised $125.00 and were able to adopt 5 animals. The five animals that were adopted through student voting included a Fennec Fox, an Arctic Fox, an Emperor Tamarin, a Gorilla, and a Lion Cub.

The animals were all adopted through the World Wildlife Foundation. The World Wildlife Foundation’s mission is to conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. The organization’s vision is to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. To learn more about the WWF’s efforts to save endangered animals, please visit their website at:  www.wwf.org.
