Ste. Genevieve Elementary and Ste. Genevieve Middle School Students  Win Local VFW Auxiliary Contests

Recently, Ste. Genevieve Elementary and Ste. Genevieve Middle School students were recognized with awards for contests sponsored by the local VFW Auxiliary 2210! Congratulations to the following students on their recognitions:

“Illustrating America” Art Contest

  • Grades 3 - 5: First place went to fifth grader Emmett Abts, and second place went to fifth grader Myla Meyer.

  • Grades 6 - 8: First place went to eighth grader Kinsley Bowers, and second place went to eighth grader Cadence Lanterman.

  • Students have the opportunity to utilize their creativity and artistic expression. Entries are judged on patriotic theme and technique. These students received cash prizes, and their artwork was advanced to the state-level competitions.

“Get Excited for the Red, White and Blue” Singing Contest

  • First place went to third grader Rain Hampton. Participants must submit a video solo vocal performance of the national anthem. Rain received a cash prize, and her performance was advanced to the state-level competition.
