SGE Students Place in All Together Art Show

Recently, the third annual All Together Art Show was held at Common Grounds Coffee Shop! Each year, students and community members create artwork that highlight and celebrate inclusion. The theme of this year’s show was Cosmic Kaleidoscope: Out of this World Inclusion, and the displays were adorned with cosmic works of art showcasing inclusion through various space elements, mediums and styles.

Ste. Genevieve Middle School teacher Becky Keim coordinates this event, which has been steadily growing. This year, around 335 pieces of artwork were on display! Congratulations to the following Ste. Genevieve Elementary students who were recognized for their artwork about inclusion:

  • Ste. Genevieve Elementary, 1st Place: Brooke Grither, 3rd grade

  • Ste. Genevieve Elementary, 2nd Place: Elliot Rayoum, 4th grade

  • Ste. Genevieve Elementary, 3rd Place: Lauran Carnes, 5th grade

“Every year, the theme for the All Together Art show has been increasingly more challenging, and every year, the artists bring their very best. They blow me away not only with their creativity and originality, but also with their dedication to the theme and their celebration of inclusion” Mrs. Keim said. “The other important part of this event is the huge crowd of people it draws during the downtown Fourth Friday Artwork. This year, we had over 300 people walk through. It is becoming an event that community members look forward to year after year.”
