Congratulations to Elaina, the Rotary Student of the Month for February from Ste. Genevieve High School. Elaina is the daughter of Sara and Andrew Schemel.

Elaina’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top 10% of her class, with a ranking of 11 out of 115. She has earned the designation of Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude, and she has been chosen as a class award recipient for FACS 1, Physiology, and Anatomy. Elaina has also been a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), National Honor Society (NHS), Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Mentors, along with being a class officer for three years. She has also been a member of the A+ program.

Elaina has been a member of both the SGHS Track and Cheerleading teams, serving as Cheer Captain for four years. She won the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association All-State Academic Award. 

Elaina is currently employed at the Ste. Genevieve Community Center as front desk clerk. In her free time, Elaina enjoys spending time with friends and family. She plans to attend College of the Ozarks, majoring in Accounting with a minor in Criminal Justice.
