On Thursday, May 9, 2019, the Southeast Missouri State University’s College of Education, Health and Human Studies recognized the Ste. Genevieve High School with its 2018-2019 Best Partners Plaque.

Students studying to enter into the field of education spend time with Ste. Genevieve R-II faculty and staff to be mentored and coached through student teaching. “We are always excited to invite these students into our school to learn more about teaching and best practices in education,” Principal Chris Hoehne says. “This award was unexpected, but I’m so proud of my staff for sharing their expertise and guidance.”

The College of Education, Health and Human Studies Director of Field Experiences Kenneth Griffin visited the high school during Teacher Appreciation Week to award the plaque.

“Southeast Missouri State would like to acknowledge Ste. Genevieve High School for going above and beyond our expectations as a partner in education,” Mr. Griffin says. “Thank you for all of the work your faculty and staff do with these great young educators.”
