SGHS Student Council Celebrates Kindness Week by Recognizing Others

Last week, the SGHS Student Council planned activities to celebrate Kindness Week. They focused on recognizing groups and individuals who deserve a heartfelt thank you for their dedication to others during the last few months.

Some of their activities included:

  • Giving a shout-out to faculty and staff during SG R-II Employee Appreciation Week by writing notes of encouragement and thanks on the high school's windows.

  • Putting up a sign outside of the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital as a thank you to our healthcare workers during this time. The Student Council would like to thank member Kylee Clayton and her grandfather, Alvin Brown, for creating the sign!

  • Creating encouraging cards for local care home residents.

  • Sponsoring a Food Service Appreciation Day to thank our Food Service employees for their dedication to providing meals to children during school closure.
