The Class of 2018 Ste. Genevieve High School Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for Friday, October 5, with celebration activities set throughout the day on the campus of SGHS. Selected for induction this year are Ric Boyer, Class of 1964, and Herb Fallert, Class of 1954. Mr. Boyer’s dedication to the Arts led him to a career in the music industry as well as a photographer, painter, designer, music producer, and poet. Mr. Fallert has used his passion for agriculture and tourism in a variety of occupations, most notable, his 12 years serving in the Missouri House of Representatives.

The celebration will begin at 9:00 am on the campus of SGHS with the inductee’s families as honored guests at the high school for the day. The guests will tour the campus before being honored at a morning pep assembly and introduced to the student body. The visitors will attend a luncheon on campus with members of the Ste. Genevieve R-II administration, Board of Education, and SGHS Hall of Fame Committee.

The formal induction ceremony will take place at 5:00 pm in the SGHS Performing Arts Center. Boyer and Fallert will be introduced and deliver acceptance speeches. The formal induction ceremony is open to the public and all are invited to attend. Following the formal induction ceremony, the newly inducted members and families will be special guests and honored at halftime of the Ste. Genevieve football game against Fredericktown starting at 7:00 pm.

The Ste. Genevieve High School Hall of Fame Committee was established in 2012 to honor past graduates of SGHS who have led distinguished lives. Selection is based on achievement, character, leadership, community service, and suitability as a role model for all present and future students of the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District. This year will mark the 18th and 19th selections to the SGHS Hall of Fame.
