Congratulations to Ste. Genevieve High School senior Clayton Huck for being selected for the 2019 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri’s top academic student sin the graduating class of 2019.

Missouri Scholars 100 is a program sponsored by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. Schools across Missouri nominate candidates, and students are selected primarily on a formula using their grade point averages and ACT or SAT scores. Each student nominated must first meet the criteria of an “Academic Decathlon,” which includes 10 events designed to assure the student’s academic strength. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.750, a minimum ACT score of 29 or a minimum SAT score of 1,600, be ranked in the upper 10 percent of the class and have taken high-level courses in mathematics, science, English and foreign language. The student must also have excellent attendance, be an exemplary school citizen, and be involved in the school activity program.

“We could not be more proud of Clayton for being recognized through this distinguished program,” Principal Chris Hoehne says. “Being chosen as one of the top 100 students in the state is a rarity, and it is quite an achievement. Clayton more than deserves this award-- he holds himself to the highest academic standards and exemplifies what it means to be a high-achieving, well-rounded student.”

Clayton, his parents and high school principal Mr. Chris Hoehne are invited to attend the recognition luncheon as guests of MoASSP, which will be held in Columbia, Missouri, on Sunday, April 28, 2019.
