The State Board of Education approved another permanent pathway for substitute certification to address a statewide shortage. Applicants must 1) have a high school diploma/GED/HiSET, 2) pass a background check, & 3) complete a 20-hour online training. Please see the following announcement regarding filing for the SG R-II Board of Education election in April 2022. Two positions will be available, each with a three-year term. Filing begins Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. and ends Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. Candidates may file during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Filing will not occur on Dec. 23, 24, and 27.
