Teacher Recognized By Student At Missouri Scholars Academy

In June, English-Language Arts teacher Christia Wolk was invited to MIZZOU to attend a full day of activities with Missouri Scholars Academy, where she was recognized by high school student Shay Coleman for Teacher Appreciation Day! While at MSA, Mrs. Wolk had the opportunity to attend two class sessions with Shay, and was invited to a dinner with a keynote from author Jean Baker. The focus of the keynote was the importance of "thinking big."

The day was filled with encouragement for teachers and students at the academy. "We were all encouraged to continue to strive for success by having big dreams, crafting goals and working toward those goals, regardless of the challenges," Mrs. Wolk said. "I was honored to be a part of this day!" We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Wolk for the relationships she builds with her students and the impact she makes in their lives every day.
