Football Seniors Recognize SG R-II Employees

The Ste. Genevieve High School Football Program has a new tradition, one that encourages the senior players to take the time to reflect on and express gratitude to those individuals who have helped them throughout their high school experience.

Each senior takes the time to hand-write a letter to a Ste. Genevieve County R-II employee who has had the greatest impact on his life. Additionally, each player presents this person with a jersey to wear at the last scheduled home game as a symbol of the bond and connection that has been made. Last Friday, Oct. 27, before the home football game against Fredericktown, the SGHS Football Program recognized these employees for their continued commitment to our students: science teacher Kyle Schweiss, industrial technology teacher and football coach Kenny Rapp, history teacher Broc Kreitler, math teacher and football coach Cody Schwent, physical education teacher and football coach Adam Sherry, I.S.S. teacher and wrestling coach Jared Bonnell, math teacher and football coach Tyson Roth, history teacher Dustin Kueker, industrial technology teacher and track coach Chris Thompson, and English teacher and speech and debate coach Christia Wolk.

The SGHS Football Program would also like to thank all of our educators and district employees who consistently give their all for the betterment of our students. Their continued dedication and passion are shining examples for our students of what it means to live “Loyal And True”.
