Congratulations to Alyssa Fahnestock, the SGHS Rotary Student of the Month for April from Ste. Genevieve High School. Alyssa is the daughter of Brian Fahnestock and Misty McElligott.
Alyssa's scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top 15% of her class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, and receiving the class award for German IV. Alyssa has also served as the German Club treasurer. She has completed all the requirements to be A+ certified. She has also been a member of SkillsUSA, Future Teachers of America (FTA), and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
Alyssa has also been a leader in school sponsored sports. She has competed for SGHS in cross country and track. During her free time, Alyssa loves to read, run, write, and paint. She plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University and major in accounting. She also plans to minor in international business or finance. Her goal is to operate a financial advising company in the future.
