Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding recognitions from the Mineral Area K - 12 Student Art Show! In all, nine students from Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District placed in the contest.
The Ste. Genevieve Middle School students each created a self portrait and were entered into the Black and White category for their grade level. The winners included:
Josef Rottler, 1st Place in the 5 - 6 Black and White category
Lucy Gegg, 2nd Place in the 5 - 6 Black and White category
Sawyer Bauman, 3rd Place in the 7 - 8 Black and White category
Hailey Hilderband, 4th Place in the 7 - 8 Black and White category
The Ste. Genevieve High School student winners included:
Ellie Naeger, 1st Place in 11 - 12 Ceramics category with “2 Cloud Bowls,” and 2nd Place in Painting with “Sides of Me”
Jessica Brown, 2nd Place in 9 - 10 Ceramics category with “Skeleton Hands”
Maria Kemper, 1st Place in 11 - 12 Painting category with “Colorful Medley”
Amelia Grein, 3rd Place in 9 - 10 Ceramics category with “Pineapple”
Taylor Armbruster, 3rd Place in 9 - 10 Painting category
