Congratulations to Finnegan Jokerst, the SGHS Elks Student of the Month for December. Finnegan is the son of Jennifer and Jarod Jokerst.
Finnegan's scholastic honors include: being ranked #4 of his graduating senior class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, being in the Top 10% every year in high school, and winning numerous class awards including Spanish, ACT prep, and English. Finnegan was also chosen Summa Cum Laude during the 2020-2021 school year. Finnegan has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including Math Team and Spanish Club, where he has spent time as the treasurer.
Finnegan is a member of the SGHS Scholar Bowl team. During this time he has represented SGHS very well. He was a team leader and helped the team compete well at the district tournament. These interactions show his leadership both in and out of the classroom.
In his free time, Finnegan enjoys reading, playing board games, playing card games, playing video games, and playing frisbee. Finnegan plans to attend University of Missouri Science & Technology and major in chemical engineering.
