Senior Mason Gegg Named February Elks Student of the Month

Congratulations to Mason Gegg, the SGHS Elks Student of the Month for February. Mason is the son of Wes and Stephanie Gegg

Mason's scholastic honors include: being ranked #5 of his graduating senior class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, being in the Top 10% every year in high school, and winning numerous class awards, including Spanish III.  Mason was chosen Summa Cum Laude last school year.  Mason has also been involved in numerous volunteering and service opportunities, including summer school tutoring, working at a number of 5K charity events, and helping out at kindergarten registration. Mason was also chosen to attend Missouri Boys State.

Mason is a member of the SGHS track and cross country teams. During this time, he has represented SGHS very well. He was a team leader and helped the team compete well at the district meets. He also earned All-Conference and All-District and made the Academic All-State team.  

Mason has worked part-time at the County Home Center and in his free time, he enjoys running, playing video games, reading, biking, and spending time with his friends. Mason plans to attend Maryville University and major in one of two areas. One option is to have a major in Accounting with a minor in Financial Planning, and after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Accounting, he would go on to acquire a master’s degree and obtain his CPA license. The other option is to major in Financial Planning with a minor in Accounting. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, he would go on to acquire his master’s degree, as well.
