Ste. Genevieve High School will celebrate homecoming the week of Oct. 9- 13. SGHS announced the week’s activities, including the parade, the football game, the dance, and spirit days.

Homecoming Theme:

The theme for this year’s homecoming is “Road Trip.” For each class, the sub-themes follow: 

  • Freshmen: Los Angeles

  • Sophomores: Orlando

  • Juniors: New Orleans

  • Seniors: Las Vegas

SGHS Dress-Up Days:

Monday, Oct. 9 -  Barbieland Vs Kendom ( Dress as Ken or Barbie— Reminder: Must follow School Dress Code)

Tuesday, Oct. 10 - Tacky Tourist Day (Wear your best Tourist Gear)

Wednesday, Oct. 11 - Surfers Vs Bikers ( From Teen Beach Movie) (Again, Reminder: Must follow School Dress Code)

Thursday, Oct. 12 - Stoplight Day- Wear  Red if you are Taken, Wear Yellow if you are Talking, Green if you are Single

Friday, Oct. 13 - Green and White Day!! Show your school spirit!!

  • Girls Golf District Tournament

Tuesday, Oct. 10: 

  • Volleyball vs. TBD Conference Tournament 

Wednesday, Oct. 11: 

  • Spirit Night starts at 6 p.m. / Powder Puff game starts approximately at 7 p.m. 

    • Parents and community welcome!

    • The Spirit Night / Powder Puff date is dependent on the Conference Volleyball Tournament bracket and could be Thursday instead of Wednesday.

Thursday, Oct. 12: 

  • Volleyball vs. TBD Conference Tournament 

Friday, Oct. 13: 

  • Parade at 5 p.m.

  • Varsity Football vs. Jefferson at 7 p.m.

  • Queen Coronation during half-time

Saturday, Oct. 14:

  • Cross Country Farmington Invitational 

  • Parade Rain Make-Up at 10 a.m.

  • Homecoming Dance from 7 - 10 p.m.

Homecoming Parade:

  • The parade is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, from the SGHS student parking lot.

  • Participating vehicles must be registered in advance by Wednesday, Oct 11.

  • Registered vehicles should only be on the lot by 4 p.m

  • Riders in the parade should be present by 4:30 p.m.

  • Parade Route: Fifth to Washington, Washington to Main, Main to Merchant, Merchant to Third, Third to Market, Market to Fourth, Fourth to Washington, Washington to Fifth, and Fifth back to the student parking lot.

  • Saturday, Oct. 14, will be the make-up date for the parade in case of inclement weather. If the parade has to be moved to this date, it will be held at 10 a.m.

All alumni classes and community organizations are invited to participate in the parade. If you would like to get your group registered for the parade, please contact Kyle Schweiss by Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. at krschweiss@sgdragons.org or 883-4500, extension #2160. Along with this year's court, class floats, marching bands, and school organizations, the retiring Homecoming Queen, Brynna Wehner, from the Class of 2023, will also be featured in the parade.

Homecoming Dance:

  • $15 per student

  • Semi-formal (ties, no jeans)

  • Outside dates must be approved by Wednesday Oct. 11
