Veterans, active military and their guests will be honored at Ste. Genevieve County R-II’s Veterans Programs and the annual Veterans Day Parade. Please see details on these events below!
Veterans Day Parade — Nov. 9
The parade will begin at 1:15 p.m. from the American Legion parking lot.
Parade Route: The parade route will begin at the American Legion Hall, (take Rozier Street) head down 4th Street toward downtown, to Market, to Main, to Merchant, to 4th to Lecompte, to 5th to Washington, and to the back parking lot of the SGHS gym.
Veterans Day Luncheon — Nov. 9
A luncheon will be served at the American Legion Hall for veterans prior to the parade. The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. All veterans, active military members and their spouses are welcome.
The luncheon will be catered by 1111 Catering, with fried chicken from Country Mart and liver dumplings from the Anvil.
SGMS/SGHS Veterans Day Assembly — Nov. 9
The annual SGMS/SGHS Veterans Day Tribute will be held on Thursday, Nov. 9 starting at 1:50 p.m. in the SGHS Peggy J. Johnson Gym.
