Hawthorne Jokerst

Congratulations to Hawthorne Jokerst, the Elks Student of the Month for February from Ste. Genevieve High School. Hawthorne is the son of Jennifer Jokerst and Jarod Jokerst.

Hawthorne’s scholastic honors include: being ranked in the top ten of his graduating senior class, earning A Honor Roll each semester, earning membership in the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and winning numerous class awards, including: CP English II, French III, Organic Chemistry,  and French IV. Hawthorne has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including: Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), French Club, Math Team, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. He has also held numerous leadership positions in these organizations. He has also been selected to attend Missouri Boys State. 

Hawthorne has been a member of the SGHS Marching Band and earned the position of Drum Major. He also participated in the Track and Golf teams.

In his free time, Hawthorne enjoys playing music (guitar and trumpet), watching movies, Facetiming Jamison, and playing video games. He works part-time at CVS Health in Ste. Genevieve. Hawthorne plans to attend Truman State University, majoring in Education and Mathematics to become a teacher.
