SGHS Gaming Club Hosts Charity Mario Kart Event

This holiday season, the SGHS Gaming Club hosted a Charity Mario Kart Event during the last club meeting of the year. All students and staff were invited! A nonperishable food item or unopened toy granted entry, and these items were then donated for those in need in our community.

The Gaming Club had a variety of games set up for casual play, including board games, as well as a tournament for those competitively-minded players.

Twelve participants played through random grand prix for the following cups: Dragon Cup, Parasol Cup, Diamond Cup, Top 8: Skull Cup, and Top 4: Rainbow Cup. The finals included four different rainbow roads! It was a tough fight, but at the end of the tournament, the following students took home a win:

  • 1st Place: Logan Keyser

  • 2nd Place: Char Drost

  • 3rd Place: Connor Hardin

  • 4th Place: Eric Dippold

Congratulations to the students for their hard-won victories, and thank you to all of those who came out to have a great time and donate to a good cause!
