Recently, the Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District hosted the 2024 Annual Jellybean Festival! The Jellybean Festival is a talent show that showcases the talents of our students with special needs. Both North County and Farmington school districts attended and had students participate in the talent show.
Each student with special needs had the opportunity to perform onstage at the Performing Arts Center with their Buddy. The Buddy is a school peer and friend. Some of the activities that the students performed included singing, dancing, gymnastics, playing frisbee, and more!
Ste. Genevieve High School staff and students have been building inclusivity through the FRIENDS (formerly Jellybeans) program since 2015, and the Jellybean Festival is one of several events that promotes inclusion and friendships that last a lifetime.
