Recently, Ste. Genevieve Elementary art teacher Mrs. Haley Schnitzler and the Art POWER group students invited the entire school to the Performing Arts Center to watch the new stop motion films the group created! Stop motion animation involves photographing and then physically manipulating objects within a frame. As each frame is played in sequence, the technique creates the effect of an object moving itself.
The Art POWER group students wrote their own scripts, created their own backgrounds, and then took several hundred photos while moving their objects little by little each time. You can check out each video at the links below:
