SGHS Graduate Earns National Recognition in VFW Auxiliary Art Contest

SGHS Graduate Earns National Recognition in VFW Auxiliary Art ContestSte. Genevieve County R-II School District is proud to announce that Mallory Rottler, a recent graduate of the Ste. Genevieve High School Class of 2025, has been named a national winner in the 2024–2025 VFW Auxiliary Young American Creative Patriotic Art Scholarship Contest.

Mallory’s artwork earned 2nd place at the national level, a remarkable achievement that comes with a $7,500 scholarship. Her piece advanced to the national competition, competing against top student submissions from across the country. Her work may also be featured during the VFW Auxiliary National Convention this summer in Columbus, Ohio.

The district extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mallory and her art teacher, Mrs. Jamie Bauman, for representing Ste. Genevieve High School with excellence, creativity, and patriotism on the national stage.
