Ste. Genevieve Elementary held their third and fourth quarter POWER Leader Ceremony on May 4, celebrating their 2025-2026 POWER Leaders!
Each quarter, a student from each classroom at Ste. Genevieve Elementary is recognized by the classroom teacher as someone who stands out based on character, behavior, and leadership qualities. The POWER Program is to promote students in making the right choices. See below the characteristics that teachers/staff look for in a POWER Leader:
Personal: Listening, Greeting, Manners, Personal Space, Asking for Help, Self Control & Awareness, Hygiene, Gratitude
On Track: Goals (Class, Academic, Behavior, Personal)
Working Together: Conversations, Interacting, Working with Others, Listening to Others, Conflict Resolution, Forgiveness
Emotional: Remorse, Impulsivity, Empathy, Zones of Regulation, Coping Skills, Honesty, Acceptance
Responsibility: Organization (desk, locker/cubby, folder, backpack, charged chromebook, etc.), Follow Directions, Effort

5th Grade: Nolan Bova, Emily Carlisle, Blake Ellett, Karli Emberton, Zoey Miller, Kason Moore, Kelvin Moore and Carter Ochs.
If a student has been chosen three times as a POWER Leader, they enter the Hall of Fame for their achievement. Congratulations to our second semester Hall of Fame POWER leaders: Helen Choate, Jackson Gegg, Jonah Kertz, Kinley Kueker, Carter Ochs, Ezra Pirkle and Emelia Thompson.

Throughout the year, teachers and administrators surprise the students at home with yard signs to celebrate! Ste. Genevieve Elementary; their dedication to our students and community is appreciated!
