SGMS Spellers Advance to Conference Bee

Three students from Ste. Genevieve Middle School represented the district at the 2012-2021 conference spelling bee on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at North County High School!

To determine which students participate in the conference competition, SGMS holds its annual school spelling bee, which was held on Jan. 25. In the school bee, eighth grader Garrett Tunnell received first place, seventh grader Millie Huffman received second place, eighth grader Charlie Corbett received third place, and eighth grader Conner Clanton placed as alternate. At the conference competition, Garrett, Millie and Charlie all made it to the third round!

SGMS English Language Arts teachers Ashley Mertzlufft and Kelly Jokerst manage the Ste. Genevieve Middle School Spelling Bee each year. Congratulations to our students for representing our middle school!
