Senior Alexandria Werner Named May Elks Student of the Month

Congratulations to Alexandria Werner, the SGHS Elks Student of the Month for May. Ali is the daughter of Brian Werner and Kristen Ziegler.

Ali's scholastic honors include: earning A Honor Roll each semester, earning Top 10% every year in high school, and winning numerous class awards, including Film Literature. Ali has also been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Future Teachers of America, and Principal’s Advisory Group. 

As a member of the SGHS Speech and Debate team, she has competed well and advanced to higher levels in competitions. She has also represented SGHS as a member of the school band where she was chosen as a member of the MAAA All-Conference Band. She was also chosen as a drum major this past season.  

In her free time, Ali enjoys spending time reading, traveling, listening to music, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Alexandria plans to attend Truman University to major in English and hopes to launch a career in literary publishing.
