On Friday, Oct. 1, Ste. Genevieve Middle School students in their second or third year of Band had the opportunity to perform with the Ste. Genevieve High School Marching Band! Together, the two bands performed a selection from the SGHS Marching Band’s 2021 show, The Music of Queen! during the halftime show at the SGHS varsity football game.
This combined performance is an annual recruitment activity to give middle school band students an experience of what it is like to be a high school marching dragon. The middle school students rehearsed and performed on the renovated turf football field, which was a new and exciting experience for them! The Ste. Genevieve Middle School bands would like to share a big shout out to Mr. Mooney and the SGHS Marching Band for making the younger students feel welcome and for helping to make this experience exciting and memorable!
