Recently, SGE kindergarten students had the opportunity to learn about fire prevention and firefighters’ work! The Ste. Genevieve City Fire Department visited kindergarten at Ste. Genevieve Elementary to share fire safety tips as part of their annual visit. Volunteer firefighters Justin Donovan, Alex Wiesnewski, Tyler Weinhold and Ryan Mayberry talked to the students about what it takes to be a firefighter. They helped students explore the fire trucks and showed them the various equipment onboard. The students learned how to stop, drop and roll, and they checked out the safety gear the firefighters wear! We would like to thank our local volunteer firefighters for visiting our students and spending time teaching them about fire safety!
