Teacher Joe Cox Sets Off on 100 Mile Race

On Oct. 29 at 6 a.m., Joe Cox, a special education teacher at Ste. Genevieve Elementary, set off on a one hundred mile foot race along the Ozark Trail. Mr. Cox was one of only a handful of participants to complete the race. After 28 hours and 25 minutes of constant motion, Mr. Cox crossed the finish line in 13th place and received his fourth finishers' belt buckle. Mr. Cox is also a middle school track coach at Ste. Genevieve County R-II. Congratulations on this amazing achievement, Mr. Cox!
