Schools Prepare to Launch Red Ribbon Week on Oct. 24

Red Ribbon Week will be held the week of Oct. 24 in Ste. Genevieve County!

On Oct. 6, students from Ste. Genevieve County R-II School District and Valle Catholic gathered with Ste. Genevieve Mayor Paul Hassler and Chief of Police Jasen Crump to sign a Proclamation declaring Oct. 24 - 28 to be Red Ribbon Week in Ste. Genevieve County! Schools throughout the county will observe Red Ribbon Week the week of Oct. 24.

Third grade, elementary and preschools and daycares will experience presentations from the Ste. Genevieve Police Department and the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the local K-9 units!

This year’s theme is “Better Things to Do Than Drugs.” SG R-II will celebrate the theme through dress-up days. Businesses and schools who would like to participate can see the list of dress-up days below!

🔴🔴🔴🔴Local businesses and organizations are invited to wear red ribbons with our students and staff throughout the week. We look forward to celebrating the upcoming Red Ribbon Week with our community!
