SG R-II: Due to the recent rain & high water in some areas, buses may be running a bit behind schedule in the morning. Drivers are adjusting routes to safely avoid roads impacted (such as portions of Highway 32 & other low-lying areas). We appreciate your patience & understanding as we work to get students to school safely.

Kindness Week is coming up next week on the SG Campus. Check out the spirit days created by some of the high school organizations. There will be additional kindness challenges throughout the week. SG R-II: Recently, our neighbors at Perry County School District 32 suffered significant storm damage to their campus. Our staff & students created a t-shirt fundraiser to support our friends: https://bit.ly/41Vl2oB. Deadline to order: Monday, March 31.
SG R-II: Our last day of school (for pre-k to 11th grade) will now officially be a half day on Friday, May 23. Thanks, and have a great Spring Break!
REMINDER: The last day of school before Spring Break is tomorrow, Friday, March 21. Spring Break will be from Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28. Classes will resume on Monday, March 31. Thank you!
Reminder: Our grade level field trips are this Friday. Please make sure your child dresses for the weather, brings their lunch if that is what they selected on the permission slip, and makes it to school on time. Some of the trips leave right at 8:00. Tennis shoes are a necessity for all the locations. #sgmsrocks #sgfamily

6th and 7th graders started the 1st part of the enrollment process for next year's elective classes. Students will have met with Mrs. Meyer by the end of the day on Friday. Students are advised to share a pre-enrollment planning guide with their guardians and return to their ELA teacher next week (parent signature is not required). An Elective Course Description Guide can be found on Mrs. Meyer's SGMS Web Page. If your 6th or 7th grader was absent during Mrs. Meyer's class visit, please have him/her stop by the counseling office ASAP.
