Dragons held their first-ever robotics competition this Saturday at our school.

Our very own Big Robofeet earned 3rd place out of 21 teams!

Penguin Warriors scored 10th out of 21 teams and earned the Create Award. The VEX IQ Create Award is given to a team whose robot design shows a creative and original engineering solution to one or more of the competition’s game challenges, emphasizing inventive thinking beyond standard approaches. The Penguin Warriors demonstrated how they worked together to develop their unique design and explained their creative process during judging and in their engineering design book, which they write throughout the year.

Our SGMS Scholar Bowl team had their first meet this evening. They came away with a close loss against North County and a confident win against Potosi!

8th grade get the win over West County 40-23. We came out strong and didn’t let up. The boys will play tomorrow at 6:30 in a semifinal game of the conference tournament. Good luck!
