A small change in plans for baseball tomorrow, May 2nd. We will now play Fredericktown first with a 4:00 start followed by Saint Pius afterward. Both are varsity games with the same time schedule, just flip-flopping when we play them.
The varsity and JV baseball games today have been moved to Yanks' Field. Also, senior night for baseball will be tomorrow between the varsity games. Softball senior night will be on Wednesday next week at 3:45 before the varsity game at 4:00.
SG R-II Heads-Up: SADD will be launching a mock accident on the SG Campus tomorrow, Friday, May 2. This mock accident scene will be set up behind the PAC starting at 9 a.m. Please do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles and personnel on site, as they are all part of the event. Thank you!
This evening at the SG Throwers Invitational Paul Taylor broke the school record in the Shot. The record stood for over 30 years. Paul's throw this evening measured 18.89 meters which equates to 61.99 feet. Congratulations to Paul on an awesome accomplishment!

The boys and girls track throwers were in action at home this afternoon. The girls placed 1st as a team and the boys placed 2nd. The following athletes placed in the top 3: Paul Taylor-1st (Shot), Jacob Schweigert-3rd (Shot), Brianna Abt-1st (Shot & Disc), Emma Goodwin-2nd (Shot), & Kayden Huck-2nd (Jav).

Baseball versus Fredericktown is canceled for today. We will now play a varsity doubleheader on Friday starting with Saint Pius at home at 4:00 followed by Fredericktown at home directly afterward. Both JV games will unfortunately be canceled.

Varsity softball falls to Chester, Illinois in a good battle. The final score was 5–3. Come out tomorrow and support our seniors on Senior Night! They play Scott City at 4:30.

On Friday evening, the girls and boys track teams were in action at the very competitive Festus Tiger Town Track Meet. The following relays and athletes placed in the top 3: Paul Taylor-2nd (Shot), Kale Clements-1st (800), Girls 4x800-3rd, & Girls 4x400-3rd. The track teams will be in action again tomorrow afternoon at the Old Settlement Invitational.
