Due to Homecoming activities on Wednesday, October 6th, the girls golf match that afternoon at home is now moved to Monday, October 4th. We will compete against Cape Central and Farmington.

The Board of Education has approved a mask mandate to be implemented on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, for all students, employees and visitors during school hours. This mandate would follow the same parameters used last year: Face coverings will be required at certain times throughout the day (during transitions and when they cannot appropriately socially distance). SGHS Open House is scheduled for this Wednesday, September 1st at 6:00 p.m. Doors leading into the Peggy J. Johnson Gymnasium will open at 5:00 p.m. and we will begin the evening in the gym. Reminder that per our Re-Opening Plan, all visitors should wear face coverings. Hope to see all parents/guardians at Open House!

The Varsity Football Dragons start off their season with an exciting win last night over the Festus Tigers by a final score of 36-31. Congratulations to all of the coaches and players for a hard fought victory and an exciting win!
Individuals dropping off students between 7:20 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. need to utilize the back student parking lot in front of the Peggy J. Johnson Gymnasium. Students will be able to enter the building through the door by Mrs. Kingery's classroom. This new drop-off process will allow the buses to have more space in the parking lot in front of the high school to safely drop-off students. We look forward to seeing students back at SGHS on Monday!
Bus Routes: Parents and guardians, our bus routes will returning to an earlier schedule. Please have your children at the bus stop about 10-15 minutes earlier than last year, until routes have settled into a routine. Thank you!
SGHS Freshmen Parent Night will be held this evening. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Commons. Our team of educators will provide freshmen parents with a wealth of knowledge to prepare them for the upcoming school year. See you tonight!
Hey SGHS! We are now accepting requests for schedule changes for 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students. In order to correctly fill out the form, that was emailed to all of our 10th-12th grade students, you will need to know your current schedule. These have been emailed to the students whose parents have completed the E-Collect Online Enrollment Process (takes a few business days to process the forms before a schedule is sent). We will stop accepting requests for schedule changes on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at midnight. Please be sure to get your request in ASAP as some classes may fill-up. Have a great weekend!
