On Monday, August 12th the SGHS high school football team will have an 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m "under the lights" practice due to predicted extreme temperatures and heat indexes. All athletes for fall sports must have a physical submitted on or before the 12th to practice.
Due to extreme temperatures and heat indexes forecasted for Monday the 12th, the first day of outdoor practices have been adjusted. Cross Country will begin at 6:00 a.m. and Girls Golf will begin at 10:00 a.m. Football start time will be sent out later this evening.
Freshmen Parents if you have not filled out the Student Information & Health Profile online, you may do so when you drop off your student tomorrow at 9:15am at the Performing Arts Center. We will have staff there to assist. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!!

MS and HS Football Camp begins on Monday, July 22nd at 6:00 p.m. Cost per athlete is $25.
Just a reminder the MSHSAA mandatory, 9-day dead period begins this Saturday, June 29th and will end after Sunday, July 7th. During this time please avoid using our facilities including Yanks' and Leon's. Thank you for your help with this and enjoy the rest of your summer!

SGHS Alum Taylor Werner will be competing in the Outdoor Track and Field Division I National Championships tonight and Saturday and will be on national TV. Tonight she competes in the 10k on ESPN3 at 9:38 and then on Saturday at 7:35 on ESPN2 she'll compete in the 5k. Go Taylor!
Attention baseball players: Your baseball pictures are in the high school office. You can pick those up from 8 o'clock to 3 o'clock most Mondays through Fridays.
