The girls cross country team finished in 3rd place in the district as a team which qualifies them for the state cross country meet next Saturday in Columbia. This is the first time the girls have qualified a full team to the state cross country meet since 2015. Congratulations to all of the athletes and coaches!

Varsity football scored early and often to defeat the Dexter Bearcats 56–17 in the first round of playoffs. The Dragons will travel to Park Hills next week for the district semifinal. Way to go, Green!

Congratulations to our Volleyball Girls for qualifying to the Quarterfinal Round of Volleyball! We will be traveling to Ursuline Academy on Saturday, October 29th. If you are an SGHS student and are interested in riding a Pep Bus that would leave SGHS at 1:00 p.m. from the back parking lot at the high school please complete the form below by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28th. In order for the bus to make we must have a minimum of 25 students committed to ride. We will only take the first 40 students that sign-up to ride the pep bus (the form will close once we reach this number) and will work with those students signed up & riding the pep bus to cover the cost of their ticket into the game.

In Sectional Volleyball action it took 5 sets to decide a winner, but the Dragons come from behind in front of a sea of green to beat the Cape ND Bulldogs by scores of 25-15, 24-27. 20-25, 25-20, 15-12. The Dragons will travel to Ursuline Acad. on Sat. for quarterfinals. Woo!!!

We have just been informed that admission into the sectional volleyball game will be digital tickets only. You’ll have to pre-purchase your ticket before the game tomorrow night and present it on your cell phone. We will send out more info on how to purchase those tickets asap.

They did it! The varsity volleyball team wins the District Championship in straight sets over Potosi! They will play at home on Thursday in the Sectional match at 7:00. They are 30-4-2 on the season! Way to go, Ladies!

Hey SGHS! We hope you can join us this Thursday, October 27th for Parent-Teacher Conferences from 1:30-4 or 5-8. We will also be hosting our College & Career Fair in the Peggy J Johnson Gymnasium from 1:30-4. We have several food trucks that will be onsite in the front of the high school and the cafeteria will be an open space to enjoy the food purchased from the food trucks.
