From SG R-II: Don't forget to wear red tomorrow for Red Ribbon Week! We invite our families and community members to join in and wear red to show that we are one community with one goal of working to support a drug free community.

During Red Ribbon Week, we are sharing facts, statistics, and resources to help equip parents to have proactive conversations with their teen. Please check out these resource sheets from the Parent Toolkit from Operation Prevention related to harmful substances that may be accessible to your child within your home and medicine cabinet.

Please plan to join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences this Thursday, October 26! Conferences will run from 1:30-4:00 & 5:00-8:00. We'd love to see you there!

This week is Red Ribbon Week. We have a phenomenal opportunity for the entire community.
Hidden in Plain View will be available for adults in the community to attend in the SGMS Old Gym this Thursday, 4-8pm. Please enter through the Old Gym entrance in the back parking lot.
There is also a supplemental video linked to the "Addiction is Real" exhibit. You can access the video at: https://vimeo.com/r/3Lj4/ZlgyNDh0Zm using the promocode STEGEN
Hidden in Plain View is an interactive, educational display used to help families spot warning signs of risky activity. Learn how to spot the signs and get tips for talking with kids about the dangers of alcohol and drug use!

Penny, a published author and senior at SGHS, came and talked to some of our ELA students about her process of writing poetry and about how she comes up with ideas for her writing. She gave advice and read one of her poems to the classes. #sgfamily #sgexcellence

Our math classes are “thinking classrooms” often and our kids are really getting the hang of using their tools, working cooperatively, and guiding one another to the correct answers. It’s all about “thinking” through the processes. #sgmsrocks #sgexcellence

Please see the flyer for our upcoming food drive.
