Thank you to all who sold for our Little Caesars fundraiser (6th grade only). Those orders will arrive on Thursday, March 23. Smaller orders will be sent home with students on that day. Larger orders can be picked up from the middle school 3:15-5 on March 23. There are frozen and refrigerated items so they will need to be delivered or kept cold according to the packaging.
Congratulations to the SGMS After School Jazz Band on their outstanding performance early Saturday morning at 36th Annual Mike O'Brien & Carol Moore Memorial Jazz Festival! This festival is organized by the Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy. 18 SGMS band students performed on stage and participated in a clinic with professional jazz musicians and educators. Due to the onslaught of rain making the lake cranky and inhospitable, our Polar Plunge event will now be a block party on the SGHS parking lot from noon to 2 p.m. tomorrow! I'm late posting this one (my apologies). Ste. Genevieve Middle School students Jake Parker, Lily Saupe and Anna Fischer won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively, at the State level, in the Art of Conservation 2022 Songbird Art Contest, hosted by Wildlife Forever.
Students had to choose between the following species; Golden-crowned Kinglet, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Brown Creeper, Cedar Waxwing, and Chipping Sparrow.
Jake Parker used colored pencils to show the Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
Lily Saupe used water color to show the Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
Anna Fischer used watercolor to show the Golden-crowned Kinglet.

EASTER BREAK REMINDER: This year, Easter Break begins with an Early Dismissal on Wednesday, April 5. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 11. (The original calendar's Easter Break dates were corrected last year.)
